Description
Hand-carved and hand-painted floating orca crafted from sustainable Ecuadorian balsa wood. Lightweight, durable, and designed for water play, each piece brings ocean life and traditional craftsmanship into a single meaningful object.
Orcas, also known as killer whales, are found in oceans around the world, including the cold waters of the South Pacific and the coast of Patagonia near South America. Despite their name, they are actually the largest members of the dolphin family and are known for their intelligence, complex communication, and highly organized social groups called pods.
Orcas are apex predators, meaning they sit at the top of the marine food chain. However, some populations are affected by pollution, declining fish stocks, and ocean noise, which can disrupt their hunting and communication.
Each orca is individually hand-carved by artisan families, making every piece slightly unique in shape and expression. A toy designed not only for play, but to spark curiosity about ocean ecosystems and the importance of protecting them.
