Description
Hand-carved and hand-painted floating dolphin crafted from sustainable Ecuadorian balsa wood. Lightweight, playful, and designed for water play, each piece celebrates ocean life and traditional artisan craftsmanship.
Dolphins are highly intelligent marine mammals found in warm and temperate oceans worldwide, including the Pacific waters near Ecuador. They are known for their complex communication, strong social bonds, and remarkable ability to work together in groups called pods.
While dolphins are not currently endangered as a whole species, many populations are threatened by pollution, overfishing, and habitat disruption. Learning about them helps raise awareness about the importance of protecting marine ecosystems.
Each figure is individually made by artisan families, meaning no two dolphins are exactly alike—every piece carries small variations that make it unique.
